Exactly 12 months to the day, as if it's been timed.

Giraffes are the gayest in the zoo

The topic today is Sandwiches.

Now the word sandwich comes to us from the Sandwich Islands. When Captain James Cook pulled into the Sandwich Islands to pick up supplies, the islanders offered him pork served between 2 slices of breadfruit.

He took a supply of this back to his ship and personally prepared his crew's dinner - and that's how we get the word "to cook".

And on long winter nights, he would play with himself?

(And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself)

Since 2002, Manchester has been home to the Nothern Imperial War Museum at Salford Quays.

Last summer they presented an exhibition of camouflage techniques and were proud to report that over 2000 people a week failed to see it.

An abstruse chestnut.

Being totally flummoxed by a snowflake.

Ghastly.
